Dr.
Lewis C. Cummings, a Kingwood native and recipient of the Annual Student Award for
outstanding achievement in Periodontics from the American Academy
of Periodontology, graduated with honors from the University
of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School.
He continued his education with a residency in periodontics
at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln where
he received advanced training in oral plastic surgery, hard
tissue grafting, dental implants and completed a Masters of
Science Degree in Oral Biology. In addition, Dr. Cummings has
completed courses at the world renowned Misch International
Implant Institute. While in Lincoln, Dr. Cummings participated
in research on tissue engineering and now lectures nationally and internationally
in this field. In conjuncton with lecturing, Dr. Cummings teaches advaced surgical courses on hard and soft tissue regenerative techniques for oral rehabiltation utilizing both dental implants and natural teeth. Currently, he maintains a progressive periodontal practice in Kingwood, Texas treating traditional periodontal disease with a special emphasis on minimally invasive techniques for oral rehabilitation and dental implant therapy. Additionally, he holds an associate clinical professor position at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston and is an instructor with the Center for Advanced Dental
Education in Dallas, teaching advanced periodontal plastic surgical
and dental implant procedures to dentists from around the world.

Dr. Kenneth W. Zammit has been successfully and compassionately treating all forms of periodontal (gum) disease in the Kingwood/Northeast Houston area since 1994. His practice and expertise has special emphasis on preserving and enhancing one's own natural dentition through a variety and/or combination of classic and the very latest of techniques available, including Laser Gum Surgery.
His education began at the University of California, San Diego where he earned a B.A. in Physiology, followed by his dental training at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in Minneapolis. He then pursued post-doctoral specialty training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he earned his Periodontics Graduate Certification and Masters of Science degree in periodontal bone regenerative technologies. More recently, he has been certified by the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry, testifying to his expertise in this exciting new advancement in effective, less invasive, and relatively pain-free treatment of periodontal disease.
Since his arrival in Kingwood to practice full-time in 1994, he has continued his commitment to excellence by both teaching and attending numerous continuing education curriculums while maintaining active membership in several professional organizations. For years he has conducted regular seminars for local area dentists, hygienists and their staffs on various clinical periodontal topics. Dr. Zammit's practice features the very latest in the art and science of cosmetic and surgical periodontics including Laser Periodontal Therapy & Surgery (LANAP), periodontal plastic surgery using both Alloderm grafting material and conventional gum grafting of exposed root surfaces, contouring of gum tissue for smile enhancement, and bone grafting for future implant placement. He routinely consults with your referring general dentist to ensure your periodontal care compliments your overall restorative and cosmetic goals, while respecting both your financial and time limitations.
Overall, his integrity and patient-centered focus is a natural outgrowth of his Christian faith, which reflects in all that he does both professionally and personally.
